Terms of Use
Sellown provides marketplace tools connecting independent sellers, service providers and buyers. The business identified on a listing is responsible for the sale or service, its quality, legality and fulfillment. Sellown is not automatically the seller, service provider or guarantor of a merchant’s products or services.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract, provide accurate account information and protect your access. Do not offer unlawful, unsafe, counterfeit, infringing or unlicensed products or services, mislead users, abuse the platform or misuse personal data. Sellown may restrict accounts for safety or policy violations, subject to applicable law.
Seller responsibilities do not waive mandatory consumer rights or Sellown’s liability for its own conduct or duties imposed by law. No term excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Material agreement changes require acceptance of a new version before further selling or ordering.
Seller Agreement
You are responsible for accurate listings, lawful products and services, required licenses, permits, insurance, professional qualifications, food safety, taxes, inventory, availability and timely fulfillment. Publish clear shipping, pickup, service, cancellation, rescheduling, return and refund policies before accepting live transactions. Your policies cannot override applicable law. Verification is an eligibility check, not a guarantee of quality.
You must handle buyer complaints, refunds, returns and payment disputes concerning your orders and provide accurate evidence promptly. You bear transaction-related costs owed under applicable law and your payment-provider agreement, including fees that the provider does not return. Sellown assistance does not transfer your responsibilities or promise reimbursement.
Preorders must disclose the cutoff, fulfillment date, capacity and relevant restrictions. Do not accept more than you can fulfill. If enabled, confirm orders within the response window before capture. Payouts require separate payment-provider onboarding and terms; the final account configuration governs payment loss liability. Sellown Savings Days participation requires verification; online participation is free and in-person fees must be disclosed and accepted separately.
Buyer Terms
Review the business identity, listing description, price, availability, fulfillment or service arrangements and store policies before ordering or arranging a service. Supply accurate contact and delivery details. You transact with the identified business, which is responsible for providing the product or service and resolving related issues, subject to your statutory rights.
For preorders, review the order cutoff, pickup or delivery date and any capacity limit. For seller-confirmed orders, authorization is not capture; the seller must respond within the stated window. Do not submit fraudulent orders, misuse chargebacks or harass sellers.
Contact the business first about returns, non-delivery, service quality, cancellations or other concerns. Sellown may investigate and assist under the Dispute Assistance Policy, but does not promise to pay a business’s refund obligations. Your rights to lawful refunds, payment-provider disputes, complaints or court remedies remain intact.
Dispute Assistance Policy
Keep your order number, messages, delivery records and relevant photos. Contact the seller using their published contact details and explain your requested remedy. If unresolved, use available Sellown support channels. Sellown does not yet provide a live support case system; do not rely on it for time-sensitive claims.
Sellown may request evidence, investigate reported conduct, help communication and restrict unsafe or non-compliant accounts. Assistance is not an adjudication, insurance or refund guarantee. Sellers remain responsible for their obligations; payment providers decide chargebacks under their own rules. Assistance does not pause legal or card-provider deadlines or remove Sellown’s own legal duties.
Privacy Notice
We receive sign-in identity, name and email and store buyer contact details, seller profiles, uploaded images, product and service listings, orders, language preferences and agreement acceptance records. We use these to operate accounts and marketplace features, display public storefronts, enforce policies and document acceptance. Location access is optional and used to suggest nearby businesses, products and services.
Sellers receive buyer details needed to fulfill their orders and must not use them for unrelated marketing. Public seller information includes published store details and an owner profile only when enabled. Hosting and authentication providers process data to run this service. Payment and SMS providers are not connected yet; their notices and terms will be disclosed before activation. We do not collect card details.
Browser storage holds language preferences, cart drafts and favorites on this device. Acceptance records are saved on the server with account ID, role, document version, language, timestamp and the accepted text. They are retained for evidence and compliance, subject to applicable deletion and retention requirements. Account details can be updated in the app. The final privacy notice must identify the operator, privacy contact, lawful bases, retention periods and regional access/deletion request process before public launch. Acknowledging this notice is not blanket consent to optional processing.
